Photos from several trips to Thailand. Photos of Loi Kratong Festival of Lights in Chang Mai on Ping River. This festival gives thanks to the goddess of water. She is honored by floating offerings made from banana trees full of leaves, money, flowers, candles and incense down the river. These offerings are also made of bread to give something back to the fish. Paper ballons are sent airborne by flaming rings that carry away the bad luck of last year and bring in good luck for this year. The mountain pictures are from a small town of Pai. Other images are from Mai Hong Son and the hill country of Northwest part of Thailand. Beach images are from Kho Lhanta a small Island in the southern end of the Adaman Sea
